How to read the Decision Desk
The Decision Desk is the full board behind Discord one-liners: gamma rails, Confluence Tape, GEX map, dealer exposure, IV skew, and graded-alert replay — on SPY, and (when enabled) QQQ / SPX. It is advisory tooling, not auto-trading.
One-sentence rule
Use the desk to see the board before you act on a graded idea. A pane never replaces level + confirmed candle. If Map and Alert disagree with Tape or Exposure, stand down or size smaller.
Open the Decision Desk preview (sample session) anytime. Live SSE board unlocks with Desk Bundle or Robinhood Pro. The live graded Alert strip is Pro only.
Demo vs live
- Sample / demo — prior-session board so you can learn the layout. Not live quotes.
- Live — paste your
cfl_API key (or land from checkout with a session). Status pills show market / tier / SSE. - Graded Alert strip — live alert JSON is a Pro unlock; Bundle still gets rails + tape + map.
Toolbar: panes & symbols
Top of the board:
- All / Map / Exposure / Tape / Skew / Alert / Replay — filter which panels you see (desktop works best for charts).
- Symbol — SPY default; QQQ and SPX when your stack has those rails enabled.
- Refresh — pull a fresh snapshot (respect API cache; don’t spam).
- Session clock — force-flat, last entry, A+ window end, event-day flag. Honor the earlier of exchange / event flat times.
Pane guide
Alert — latest graded idea
The strip at the top: letter grade (A+ / B), plain-English idea, rails used, and
invalidation. This is the same thesis language as Discord
#alerts-a / #alerts-b, on a board instead of a chat.
Deep dive: how graded alerts work · A+ vs B · invalidation stops.
Map — rails + GEX + heat
- Gamma rails — call wall, put wall, flip, magnet, regime (spot vs flip).
- GEX by strike — where dealer gamma clusters (visual walls).
- Hot strikes — recent premium heat from the tape.
- Morning desk — today’s Tier-0 one-liner when posted.
Background: gamma walls explained · morning desk rails · TradingView overlay.
Tape — flow confirm
Session bias, 5-minute slope, OFI, premium tone (quadrant), hot strikes. Confirm only — never a naked entry. If the feed is stale, ignore Tape until it recovers.
Exposure — DEX · VEX · CHEX · pin
Dealer delta lean, vanna (how hedges shift when IV moves), charm into the close, and pin score toward the magnet. These are feathers on the same trade, not separate signals.
Skew — fear vs complacency
Call vs put IV by strike. Steep put skew = downside fear bid (often supports put fades / warns chasing calls). Flat / complacent skew = less “fear premium.” Light overlay — still needs a rail + candle.
Replay — today’s graded timeline
Self-serve list of A+/B candidates from the scanner log for the session. Use it to review what fired and when — not as a rented multi-year backtest.
Public cousin: EOD replay & stats page.
Suggested loop (while flat)
- Map — mark the rails and regime (above flip = fade-friendly; below = momentum-friendly).
- Alert — is there a graded idea at a rail with invalidation you accept?
- Tape + Exposure — agree, disagree, or noisy? Stale feed = skip the confirm.
- Clock — still inside your entry window? Event day → earlier flat.
- You place the order in your broker. Desk never executes.
What the desk is not
- Not auto-trading or “AI picks”
- Not a guarantee the wall holds
- Not a substitute for your broker’s fills, greeks, and risk limits
