How graded SPY/QQQ/IWM 0DTE alerts work
Most 0DTE Discord alerts are unstructured: “looking weak here” or a screenshot with no stop. This page documents how 0DTE Confluence grades setups — and how to read every field on a Discord card — so you can decide if the product fits your process.
Two gates that always come first
Nothing alerts unless both are true:
- Level — SPY is at a live rail (gamma wall, flip, expected-move edge, OR high/low, etc.).
- Confirmed candle — a closed 1-minute bar shows rejection, reclaim, or break (not anticipation).
Mid-range chop — price between rails with no structure — produces zero alerts by design. That is the main filter versus noisy signal feeds.
Letter grades: A+ vs B
After level + candle, the scanner tallies confluence items (stretch vs 9 EMA, VWAP side, flow, pin/OI, etc.) into a score and assigns:
- A+ — score 7/8 or 8/8; highest confluence tier, associated with Lane 1.
- B — score exactly 6/8; confirmed setup with slightly lower confluence, associated with Lane 2.
Grades are quality labels, not guarantees. Options decay fast; even A+ setups fail. See public scanner stats for how often A+ alerts fire and when.
Lane windows are not Discord posting windows
The scanner's two standard lane entry windows are:
- Lane 1 — A+ grade · 9:45–11:10 AM ET
- Lane 2 — B grade · 9:45 AM–2:00 PM ET
A+ remains a Lane 1 grade after 11:10, but is outside that lane's entry window. Lane 2 normally ends at 2:00 PM; an earlier last-entry or force-flat cutoff can shorten it. Broader Discord notification windows and the separate Pro planning window are described below. Lane labels do not mean orders are placed automatically — the service is advisory.
Title format in Discord
- 🔴 SPY 754 puts A+ / 🔴 SPY 754 puts B — put thesis (strike from spot)
- 🟢 SPY 755 calls A+ / 🟢 SPY 755 calls B — call thesis
The colored dot is direction only. The grade (A+ or B) is always in the title.
How to read a Discord alert
Every graded card uses the same fields. Read them top to bottom — the title is the headline; Idea + Stop guide are the thesis; the middle fields are context.
- Idea — direction + setup type + rail in plain English, then the SPY price. Example: PUTS · Reclaim at recent swing low · 746.21
- Grade — A+ (7–8/8) or B (6/8). Quality label, not a win guarantee.
- Lane — Lane 1 (A+) or Lane 2 (B), with entry window closed when that lane was ineligible at alert time. The label is not recomputed from today's clock.
- SPY — underlying last print when the alert graded (not option premium).
- Wall read — trapdoor score on that rail (0–100). Low (solid) leans fade-friendly; high (fragile) leans break risk. Confirmation only.
- Positioning — dealer delta lean, whether open interest is building at the rail, and whether the wall’s GEX has been strengthening or softening since the open.
- Timing — distinguishes the notification session from lane entry eligibility. A+ can still post after Lane 1 closes; B has its own morning/late Discord windows. Read alongside Lane.
- Flow — Confluence Tape / premium tone / wall GEX / OI bullets. Flow confirms a level + candle; it never stands alone as a trade.
- Levels guide — SPY entry (alert spot), stop (1-minute close through the rail = thesis broken), and TP1 / TP2 from the next walls/magnet in the trade direction. Underlying points only — not option premiums. You still size and execute in your broker.

Rails glossary (what Idea names mean)
Rails are structural levels the scanner watches. Dealer walls are the core map; the scanner also uses opening-range edges, expected-move bands, and recent swing pivots. See also gamma walls explained.
- Call wall (resistance) — heavy call-side gamma above spot; common fade-down rail.
- Put wall (support) — heavy put-side gamma below spot; common bounce / reclaim rail.
- Gamma flip — regime pivot (spot above ≈ pin/fade lean; below ≈ momentum lean).
- Max pain (pin) / magnet — gravity target toward a strike; often a late-day scale target, not a naked long entry.
- Upper / lower expected-move band — day’s implied 1σ range edges (when published).
- Opening-range high / low — 9:30–9:45 ET high or low (failed break = fade; hold-through = break).
- Recent swing low / high — short-term structural pivot on the 1-minute chart (not a GEX wall). Reclaims and rejects fire here in chop.
Setup types on the Idea line
- Fade at … — price stretched into a rail; mean-reversion lean (best when walls are solid).
- Reclaim at … — price swept beyond the rail then closed back (failed breakdown → calls; failed breakout → puts).
- Break of … — full-bodied close through a level with room left; momentum lean (not a chase of an already-extended bar).
Same rail, opposite direction a few minutes later
In a pin / chop session, SPY can reclaim a swing low (calls), then lose it again (puts) a few minutes later. Both can grade as real B (or A+) setups: same rail, opposite candle close. That is not a bug — it is the scanner reporting structure as it prints.
Practical read: when Wall read / premium tone say low conviction or pin/fade-friendly, treat back-to-back flips as noise unless flow and the next candle confirm one side. One thesis at a time.
Channels
#alerts-a— A+ · normally 9:45 AM–cash close, subject to quality and deduplication filters, including after Lane 1 closes.#alerts-b— B · normally 9:45–11:30 AM and 3:00 PM–cash close; quiet 11:30 AM–3:00 PM ET.#alerts-pro— score ≥6/8 · 9:45 AM–force-flat (default 3:45 PM ET) — Discord backup; primary Pro path is Confluence Pro MCP.#morning-desk/#eod-replay— Tier-0 ladder and end-of-day replay.#tape— Confluence Tape flow snapshots (Tape tier) — how to read them.
Deduplication is dynamic by thesis and rail, not a fixed 15-minute timer. A+ score flicker (7↔8) or solid↔neutral wall changes do not by themselves re-ping the same thesis. Opposite-direction posts are also suppressed while spot remains at the prior rail. A fresh candle alone does not guarantee another notification; deduplication is not a stop-out or re-entry tracker.
Still advisory only — you place every order.
SMS (optional add-on)
The SMS Graded Alerts add-on ($19/mo) texts a short SPY A+/B ping
(title + contract ref ask; same hours as #alerts-a / #alerts-b). The full card stays in Discord.
Opt-in is a web form after checkout — payment alone does not enroll a phone.
See SMS disclosure.
Timing: in-window vs context-only
Grading, lane eligibility, and notification delivery answer different questions:
- Grade / Lane — A+ / Lane 1 or B / Lane 2, regardless of when that grade forms.
eligible— saved lane-window eligibility when the alert was generated, not permission to act on that card indefinitely.- Discord — follows the broader channel windows above; an afternoon A+ can post with Lane 1 closed.
- MCP
_pro_eligible/_pro_reason— separate current-time Pro grade/window checks on today's record (normally 9:45 AM–force-flat, default 3:45 PM ET).
Example: a 1:25 PM A+ reclaim can score 7/8 and display Lane 1 (A+) — entry window closed
with eligible=false. It can still be inside the separate Pro window.
Neither eligibility flag checks whether the setup subsequently stopped out or still has valid structure.
See the MCP field guide.
Session rhythm (ET)
- ~9:00 — morning desk posts Tier-0 level ladder in Discord
- 9:30–9:45 — opening range forms; scanner watches, default entries from 9:45
- 9:45–11:10 — primary A+ window (European overlap liquidity); SMS A+ and Discord A+ both fire here; SMS B follows Discord B (through 11:30, then quiet until 3:00)
- 11:10–3:00 — A+ continues; B Discord goes quiet at 11:30 even though Lane 2's standard entry window runs later
- 3:00–close — B Discord resumes alongside A+; closed lane labels and force-flat discipline still apply
- After close — EOD replay shows what the scanner graded
