What is 0DTE?

0DTE means zero days to expiration — options that expire the same trading day you trade them. On names like SPY, QQQ, and SPX, that means a fresh daily expiry almost every session. This page is educational only — not investment advice.

Why traders care about same-day options

Daily expirations concentrate open interest and hedging into a short clock. That can create clear intraday levels (walls, flip, pin/magnet) and violent premium moves. It also means mistakes get expensive fast: there is little time for a thesis to “work overnight.”

SPY vs SPX vs QQQ

SPY is the liquid ETF vehicle many retail desks use for graded alerts and tight contracts. SPX (and SPXW weeklies) is the index cousin — bigger point moves per tick. QQQ tracks Nasdaq-100 and often leads risk-on/off tape. Structure ideas (walls/flip) can apply across the complex; contract sizing and approval requirements differ.

Gamma walls in one paragraph

When dealers are long or short gamma at a strike, their hedging can act like support or resistance. Traders call heavy call-side clusters a call wall and put-side clusters a put wall. The gamma flip is where net dealer gamma tends to change character (fade/pin vs amplify). Deeper guide: SPY 0DTE gamma walls explained.

How 0DTE Confluence uses this

0DTE Confluence is a SPY 0DTE scanner (Desk/Rails also map QQQ/SPX). It does not auto-trade. It posts Discord alerts when price is at a known rail and a 1-minute candle confirms, with a letter grade (A+ or B) and an invalidation level. Read how graded alerts work or browse free scanner stats.

Risks (read this)

Options involve substantial risk of loss and are not suitable for all investors. 0DTE premium can go to near-zero in minutes. Past scanner prints and stats are not a win-rate promise. You place every order in your own broker. See our risk disclaimer.
